Dear Friends,
Welcome to the web page of Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry, a platform to unite and channel the enormous energy, innovations, and opportunities of the women entrepreneurs of Bangladesh.
BWCCI is the first ever Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh, created solely with the aim of achieving economic empowerment of women. The dream was born in June 2001, through the strong leadership of Selima Ahmad MP, the Founder President of BWCCI. Today, we have crossed two decades and can proudly say that BWCCI has gained respect and recognition in Bangladesh and all over the globe as the most effective voice for achieving economic and democratic rights of women of Bangladesh. Today, by leveraging the collective strength of thousands of our members from urban and rural areas of Bangladesh, we have succeeded in holding the reins that decide our future, the future of our children, our community and our country.
In our bold journey forward, we have achieved milestones that indicate our many successes. With our continuous trainings and workshops on entrepreneurship skills, and campaigns for removing social barriers, for easy access to finance and access to opportunities for women, our advocacy initiatives for policy reforms, inclusive growth and equal opportunity, we can proudly say that Bangladeshi women are playing a vital role in establishing democracy, economic growth and nation building.
Let us join hands and reach towards inclusive economic growth, peace and prosperity for Bangladesh.
“Progressive Women, Prosperous Bangladesh!”
Sangita Ahmed
Senior Vice President
