Building Skills, Creating Opportunities

On 22 August 2026, the BWCCI President and Treasurer visited JP Technical Training Center (JPTTC) and Eidgah Technology School (ETS), Skills Training Providers (STPs) located in Coxs Bazaar town under the ASSET (give the full name here) Project. They interacted with STP representatives, trainees, and job holders through learning-sharing sessions. Later in the day, President Sangita Ahmed and Treasurer Shahana Jefreen met with members of BWCCI Cox’s Bazar and Chattogram Divisional Committees to listen to their views and suggestions for strengthening services for members and on membership retention.

The President and Treasurer expressed their sincere appreciation to ETS and JPTTC for their dedication, efforts, and strong commitment. They were particularly impressed by the supportive training environment, the skills and confidence demonstrated by the trainees, and, above all, the commitment of both centres to BWCCI and the ASSET-BWCCI Project. These positive experiences made the visit especially meaningful and successful.

The meeting with BWCCI members provided an important opportunity to listen directly to their expectations and priorities. Members proposed establishing a BWCCI office in Cox’s Bazar, organizing regular training programs, fairs and initiating a weekly holiday bazaar in the locality. Sangita Ahmed said that BWCCI’s commitment to carrying forward the vision of its beloved Founder, the Late Selima Ahmad, by expanding regular training, fairs, mentoring, business support, and advisory services for women entrepreneurs will an ongoing mandate and that the voices, needs, and ideas of BWCCI members will continue to guide the organization’s future plans and initiatives.

Treasurer Ms. Shahana Jefreen expressed her appreciation and sincere thanks to Ms. Jesmin Prema, Chairperson of JP Technical Training Center (JPTTC), Cox’s Bazar, and Mr. Traequl Islam Tarun, Chairperson of Eidgah Technology School (ETS), Eidgaon, Cox’s Bazar, for their valuable support and commitment.

The activities were coordinated by Mr. Sumanta Kumar Mohanta, Deputy Sub-Project Manager, ASSET-BWCCI project, in close coordination with the project team and training centers.
